DNA, RNA and nucleotides

DNA and RNA are nucleic acids, which means they are information-carrying molecules. DNA stores genetic information in cells, while RNA helps transfer that information to ribosomes, where proteins are made. Ribosomes themselves are made from RNA and proteins.
